Ryan Kimball
Partner & Principal Broker
As Partner and Principal Broker of Kimball Investment Company, Ryan’s expertise spans the entirety of the development spectrum including; real estate investment, ground up development, acquisitions and dispositions, property and financial analysis, and leasing. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Utah, Ryan spent a decade working for some of Utah's top brokerage firms including Coldwell Banker in the Investment Services Group (ISG). Here, he gained invaluable experience in 1031 exchanges, distressed transactions, apartment projects, industrial, hospitality, urban infill, adaptive reuse, and land assembleges. Ryan leveraged this experience to found Kimball Realty assembling a successful team of agents as the Principal Broker, and in 2011 returned to Kimball Investment Company to lead strategic vision and growth initiatives for the company - pushing the Kimball Investment Company into a new era.
Ryan enjoys spending time outside of the office with his wife Janell and two children. On a typical weekend, you’ll find Ryan and his active family enjoying skiing, hiking, traveling, and attending University of Utah football games.
Justin Kimball
Partner & President
Justin is Partner and President of Kimball Investment Company. Justin received an MBA from Arizona State University and Bachelor degrees in Finance and Spanish from the University of Utah. Justin’s experience over the last 20 years in real estate has included developing, leasing and management of various asset classes including retail, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and self-storage. At Kimball Investment Company Justin is primarily responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, project management and construction oversight, entitlements, and financing activities.
Justin is married to Ashley Kimball and is a father to four children. Outside of the office, Justin enjoys travel and finding adventure in mountaineering and ultra-running. He enjoys coaching his kids in their various endeavors and creating memories with his family in the outdoors.
Victor Kimball
Founder
Victor is the Founder of Kimball Investment Company. Established in 1977, Victor's career is reflected by a diverse portfolio spanning land acquisitions, lease buy-outs, condominium conversions, and the strategic development and management of properties across Utah, Nevada, Texas, Idaho, Tennessee, and California. His keen eye for potential development properties and commitment to hospitality is evident in the successful operation of hotel franchises under renowned names like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, and more. Beyond conventional real estate ventures, Victor’s innovative experience includes the restoration of historic landmarks. Notably, the transformative revival of the Peery Hotel.
Victor is a proud family man with three children and nine grandchildren. An avid golfer, he brings his strategic negotiation skills to the golf course, where he enjoys the occasional friendly wager.
Spencer Janke
Vice President, Property Management
Spencer is a licensed Real Estate Broker with extensive experience overseeing all aspects of the brokerage industry. With a Bachelor of Communications from the University of Utah, Spencer’s relationship skills and brokerage tenure make him a natural VP of Property Management for Kimball Investment Company. Spencer oversees multiple portfolios of properties and works to establish efficient processes for each property and their respective teams. He possesses extensive knowledge in real estate, which allows for the identification of acquisition opportunities and supporting the entitlement of commercial projects ranging from tenant improvements, apartments, mixed-use developments, retail, and industrial projects across Utah.
When he’s not working with tenants or engaged in property management, you can find Spencer taking advantage of Utah’s vast outdoor adventure activities such as hiking, trail running, and skiing with his wife and daughter.
Jessica Harryman
Accounts Payable
Jessica’s ability to excel at multiple tasks and a variety of project types originates from work in the paramedic field, followed by the transition to finance and accounts payable. Jessica manages accounts payable at Kimball Investment Company and is responsible for loan processing and the preparation of financial statements. Additionally, her background has uniquely positioned her with the nimble ability to navigate intricate financial processes for acquiring new projects, and complex tax matters that greatly contribute to the success of the company.
Beyond her financial expertise, Jessica is a wife and mother of two. Outside the office, Jessica finds solace in nature, enjoying activities like hiking, camping, and seeking tranquility in the mountains.
Carmen Martinez
Accounts Receivable
Carmen has a tenured background in guiding financial decisions in the real estate sector, coupled with extensive knowledge of the insurance industry. In her role with Kimball Investment Company, Carmen manages accounts receivable, tax returns, CAM reconciliations, construction draws, and compliance with lender requirements. Additionally, Carmen handles property insurance processes and serves as a licensed Notary.
Balancing work and her personal life, Carmen enjoys hobbies such as reading, board games, walking, dancing, sporting events, and traveling. Carmen is dedicated to her family, with two children and two grandchildren.
